Batchname 1.3 Freeware
A smart Windows 95/98/NT drag'n'drop utility to rename multiple files, e.g. *.HTM to *.html or vice versa in one fell swoop. Changes case, searches and replaces within filenames, and appends extensions to any number of documents.

Useful if you've ever wanted to change the names of more than one filename in one go, Batchname now gives you the power of search and replace and the ability to change from uppercase to lowercase or from lowercase to uppercase. So after transferring those Macintosh files, or unzipping files in the old 8.3 DOS format, you'll now be able to rename them to something a little more meaningful.

Features include:

  • Change to either upper or lower case
  • Recursive search and replace within filenames
  • Append file extensions or text
  • Supports drag and drop
  • 100% standalone - no external DLLs or runtimes
